Where to Buy Retreads

There are currently two major manufacturers of passenger car retreads in the UK. These are C-Tyres, who manufactured under the Colway brand name, and Kingpin Tyres. Both these companies also manufacture 4x4 tyres.

Retreads are widely used in rallying and other forms of motorsport. C-Tyres, through their Colway brand is also a major player here along with Maxsport Tyres.

Three companies manufacture taxi retreads in the UK, these being C-Tyres, Kingpin and Panther Tyres, who market their tyres under the Freeway brand name.

In addition to the above there are around 30 further companies who specialise in light truck, truck and earthmover retreads. These include several ofthe major new tyre manufacturers, major independenttruck retreaders such as Bandvulc and Vac-Lug and smaller retreaders manufacturing under the brand names of the major tread rubber producers, such as Bandag and RingTread.
