Michelin's standard tyre for city cars, MPVs and family
saloons.
Since its launch several years ago, Michelin has intentionally
focused on the Michelin Energy's low rolling resistance
compound. This was mainly to aid the reduction in fuel
consumption and the tyre's long product life, in order
to deliver a more efficient drive for the customer.
Due to it's low rolling resistance compound the Energy
is marketed as an environmentally friendly tyre. Michelin
claims that on average when it is analysed against its
principal European competitors, vehicles fitted with
Energy tyres can save up to 150 Kg in CO2 emissions,
thereby highlighting how beneficial the tyre can actually
be for the environment.
