Michelin is one of the world's "Big Three" tyre
manufacturers. The company is active in all continents and
in over 170 countries worldwide.
Michelin, whose parent company is French, is a market leader
in the tyre industry in the UK, operating out of production
sites in Stoke-on-Trent (also the UK headquarters), Dundee
and Ballymena in Northern Ireland. The company's main brand
Michelin is universally recognised as a top quality premium
product and the company's mascot, Bibendum (otherwise known
as the Michelin Man) is one of the most instantly recognisable
corporate logos about.
In addition to the Michelin brand, the Michelin Group also
owns a number of other well known tyre brands, the most recognisable
being BF Goodrich and Kleber. Michelin also owns the ATS Euromaster
retail chain.
