A standard tyre featuring Goodyear's BioTRED technology for reduced environmental impact and improved safety. Goodyear's BioTRED technology partly replaces oil derivatives and silica in the tread compound with a new ingredient derived from cornstarch. This reduces rolling resistance, providing fuel savings of up to 5% as well as increasing adhesion in the wet.

The tyre also features Goodyear's 3D-BIS technology in the centre blocks. This increases blade density whilst maintaining block stiffness for improved grip and steering stability and excellent wet traction and braking.

The GT3 also features circumferential grooves for water evacuation, shoulder block tie-bars for improved handling and uniform wear as well as narrow radial grooves and an optimised pitch sequence to reduce noise levels.
