Goodyear

Goodyear is a US owned organisation with its headquarters in Akron, Ohio and maintains a status as one of the world's three largest tyre manufacturers. In Europe the company has production sites in France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia and the United Kingdom. Goodyear's UK headquarters, called TyreFort - are in Birmingham on the site of the old Fort Dunlop plant.

Goodyear is the Group's house brand which is firmly placed in the premium tyre segment together with the Dunlop brand, the European rights to which the company acquired a several years ago following a complicated international merger/co-operation agreement with Sumitomo Rubber Indsutries of Japan.

The Group is represented in other sectors of the market by a variety of other owned brands including Kelly, Fulda, Lee, Sava and Debica.
