The ContiWinterContact TS 810 Sport was designed as
a sports tyre for winter use. It endeavours to combine
superior handling with good grip standards in the wet,
as well as higher levels of safety on the slippery winter
roads. Also, the stiff shoulder blocks guarantee exceptional
cornering stability. The band-shaped tread structure
in the centre zone of the ContiWinterContact TS810s,
which incidentally is similar to that of normal summer
tyres, guarantees shorter braking distances on dry roads.

The ContiWinterContact TS 810s features in enhanced edge
characteristics on the middle and inside of the tyre creating
a significant improvement in snow grip.
Furthermore, the sipes of the asymmetrical tread design,
which is actually an innovative new development from Continental,
are 20% thicker on the inside of the tyre. These newly developed
sipes take on bigger amounts of snow and then experience an
improvement in the traction due to better snow-snow friction.
Continental's innovative sipe spacers manage to prevent the
sipes from closing when in contact with the road surface.
Thanks to this it is possible to have a 20% increase in the
amount of snow taken on by the sipes. This has led to a traction
and cornering stability improvement on snow.
This wet polymer is a new development from Continental, especially
in the ContiWinterContact TS 810s. This has resulted in the
product performing substantially better in the wet without
compromising its performance in the snow. Moving on, the ultra-active
carbon black that is consisted in the tyre compound has a
dramatic impact on the driving stability of the vehicle. Tyre
life and long-term flexibility of the tread on the ContiWinterContact
TS810s are increased thanks to the reactive plasticizers in
the compound of the tyre.
