A cold weather/winter tyre for the medium-size and
high-end categories. It is designed to provide excellent
handling in winter conditions, superb comfort, high
mileage, good braking and wet-weather performance. The
highly structured tyre tread provides many biting edges
to ensure maximum traction on snow and wet roads. Thicker
sipes with their sipe spacers on the inside of the tyre
keep the sipes open when they pass through the ground
contact area. This makes the sipe fill up with more
snow and boosts the amount of extra grip on roads in
winter conditions. This makes it a particularly well-balanced
winter tyre for the premium segment

On the new ContiWinterContact TS 810, enhanced edge characteristics
on the middle and inside of the tyre significantly improve
the grip on snow.
In addition, the sipes of the asymmetrical tread pattern,
which is an entirely new development, are 20% thicker on the
inside of the tyre.These sipes can take on much more snow
and increase the traction due to greater snow-snow friction.
Innovative sipe spacers prevent the sipes from closing when
in contact with the surface, making it possible to increase
the amount of snow taken on by the sipes by roughly 20%, thus
significantly improving traction and cornering stability on
snow.
With a new type of wet polymer, the ContiWinterContact TS
810 performs better in the wet without compromising its performance
in snow. Ultra-active carbon black in the tyre compound noticeably
enhances the driving stability. Tyre life and long-term flexibility
of the tread could be increased by reactive plasticizers in
the tyre compound.
