Nowadays, the ContiSportContact Vmax is supposedly the world’s first road-legal tyre which boasts the capability of speeds up to 225mph. The tread and carcass of this product has been adapted to the incredibly high technical requirements of highly powerful performance cars and to driving at the limit. ContiSportContactTM Vmax is characterised by a small reduction in tread depth and it's tread structure with a higher number of grooves located on the inner part of the tyre, which is incorporated with deeper and wider ones on the outside to decrease the generation of heat. This has resulted in higher flexibility and more ability to dissipate heat.

Moreover, the rubber volume of the tread ribs has been reduced on the inner segment of the tyre. The final result is that it's even and furthermore with its speed rating of up to 360 km/h, the tyre is more than capable of everyday motoring. This also means that it is safe and above all, extremely durable.

To ensure that the ContiSportContact 2 Vmax has the ability to control the unique centrifugal forces, a multiple radii tread contour optimised for high-speed performance is used. Thanks to the help of the reinforced belt and cap ply materials, the reliability of the tyre at higher speeds is increased as well as the shape and stability of the tyre.

Finally, a sidewall constructed specially for these extreme forces, together with a hugely reinforced bead construction, provide effective, precise steering responses.
