Ice Touring ST

Initially, Avon's Ice Touring ST was created to be fitted to the more popular high performance cars due to its high levels of performance as a winter tyre. The Ice Touring ST is known to specialise in offering superior traction in winter conditions, increased tyre life and excellent performance in wet weather. The tyre is furthermore characterised by a special rubber formulation that allows for superopr grip and handling in colder winter temperatures. It is also available in a run-flat version.

The high silica content in the rubber compound explains the excellent wet weather performance. The high levels of silica combined with extensive siping helps maintain the flexibility of tread blocks at lower temperatures during the winter which helps grip and traction in wet and snowy weather. This particular tyre is characterised by an asymmetric tread pattern.
