New Additions to Maxxis Motorcycle Range
for 2009
Maxxis
is continuing its aggressive growth strategy in the UK motorcycle
tyre market by announcing two new product offerings which
are perfectly timed to appeal to budget conscious consumers.
Kicking off the revised range for 2009 is the all new MA-PD
Presa Detour Adventure Sport tyre. The Adventure Sport sector
of the motorcycle market has seen fantastic growth over the
past two years and Maxxis is looking to capitalise on its
stunning off road pedigree with this latest offering.
The Presa Detour has been designed to offer outstanding levels
of wet and dry grip on the tarmac by utilising a large, stable,
central blocks which won't squirm under aggressive breaking
or acceleration. An extra wide grove pattern has been chosen
to maximise water dispersal in wet conditions; these extra
wide groves are also the key to the Detour's fantastic grip
when the going gets tough off road, allowing the tread to
self clean. A
unique Silica compound, developed with the knowledge gained
from years of off road racing at the highest level worldwide,
will ensure the Presa Detour returns low tread wear and long
life - capabilities demanded by serious adventure riders.
The MA-PD Presa Detour's advanced construction makes it the
perfect aftermarket direct replacement for leading Adventure
Sport machinery, including BMW's GS range, KTM Adventures,
Triumph's Tiger and Suzuki's ever popular V-Strom, to name
a few.
Also
new for 2009 is an uprated, second generation version of the
range-topping Supermaxx Sport tyre, which has benefited from
some very positive consumer press reviews in the mainstream
UK motorcycle media.
Maxxis has utilised the latest advanced modular construction
techniques to further improve on the tyre which has taken
the UK motorcycle industry by surprise.
The Maxxis Supermaxx Sport now benefits from multi sectional
construction that ensures longer life when used in short high
temperature bursts at track days. Although predominantly developed
as a high speed aggressive road tyre for Supersport machines,
Maxxis has seen more and more customers taking to the track
to realise the full potential of their machines.
This latest incarnation of the Supermaxx Sport radial utilises
mono spiral Kevlar belt technology to maintain tyre uniformity
at high speeds and ensure even load distribution between high
speed cornering and straight line performance. The second
generation Supermaxx Sport also features an advanced tread
pattern and distinct angular profile to allow quick, precise
and responsive handling. The ultra-sticky Silica compound
has been specifically formulated for optimum traction in Europe's
varied wet and dry conditions, while the compound formula
also allows for cooler initial running temperatures and maximum
grip for both road and track use.
