Semperit Adds 70-series Truck Tyres
Bandvulc Citymaster 2
Bandvulc
Tyres, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of retreaded
truck tyres, has announced the nation-wide launch of a new
tyre specifically produced to meet the needs of bus fleets.
The robust Citymaster2 (275/70R22.5) has significantly
evolved from its predecessor and now carries an improved tread
design aimed at overcoming the problems associated with foreign
object penetration; as well as incorporating extra undertread
and a double kerbing band to eliminate scrub damage and significantly
reduce downtime. Offering excellent value for money, the Citymaster2
will be available across Europe through a select network of
distributors with casings brought back to one central location
- Bandvulc's headquarters in Ivybridge, Devon.
Lesjöfors Hits the Gas with New
Catalogue
Lesjöfors,
one of Europe's largest manufacturers of springs and producer
of the world's largest range of chassis springs, has launched
its largest ever gas spring catalogue.
The gas springs sector has experienced strong
growth in recent years, due in part to their increased use
on vehicle bonnets and, enhanced awareness of availability
though the aftermarket. Lesjöfors new 2005 gas springs catalogue
features a total of 800 references, 230 of which are new.
The new additions cement the company's position as a leading
supplier of gas springs to the UK aftermarket, offering exceptional
availability with vehicle parc coverage of 98 percent.
The company supplies a complete springs package
to the aftermarket offering coil, leaf, sport and gas springs.
Semperit Adds 70-series Truck
Tyres
Semperit
has launched a new 70 series truck tyre, designed as a front-axle
fitment for heavy trucks, and as an all-wheel fitment for
buses. The 70-series products are an extension of the recently-introduced
Semperit M350 Euro-Front 80-series range, already recognised
as offering many benefits in both safety and economy in response
to the demands of fleet operators and drivers.
The increased driving safety has been achieved
by developing a superior rubber compound for the M350 Euro-Front.
The enhanced flexibility of the rubber maximises grip in wet
weather, aided by the design of the tread, which also improves
wet braking behaviour. Low and even wear is achieved through
extra-wide tread patterns, ensuring even ground pressure distribution,
and an improved belt design. Combined with low rolling resistance,
these properties provide higher mileage performance and longer
life expectancy of the tyres, offering substantially improved
overall economy.
Ownership costs can be further reduced by ensuring
that the high quality and value of the casings are preserved
for retreading. To encourage this, a newly-designed groove
has been incorporated into the tread pattern of the M350 Euro-Front,
which ejects stones that could otherwise cause damage to the
casing.
Jill Rodgers, Marketing Manager, Continental
Truck Tyres in the UK said, "The 70-series front-axle tyre
is of significant importance to the transport industry because
it's the market sector enjoying the largest growth. With their
additional safety benefits and focus on economy, we're sure
that our Semperit 70-series products will become firm favourites
with fleet operators."
